I moved to Ann Arbor to become a student at The University of Michigan in 2000. Being from Toledo, it was not a huge geographical leap. It was, however, the beginning of this story. As a student, I planned my first major event as the chair of the Walker Conference Committee of the Undergraduate Political Science Association. I also met my husband through some mutual UM friends.

Brady and I dated for several years before we were engaged. Our wedding was, to us, perfect. When we were asked to be profiled in The Knot, it was the icing on our proverbial cake. We were also featured in The Ann Arbor News "Amazing Brides" wedding section twice, once in the coveted front page position. After planning The Walker Conference and my own wedding, I knew that I should lend my expertise to others.

My first true foray into event planning was in 2002, when I accepted the responsibility of being Maid of Honor in my friends' wedding. My goal for the bride's shower was to help create a setting that showcased who the bride and groom were as a couple. I planned everything down to the last detail, and soon became known as a source for inspiration and execution of other events.

An avid crafter since the age of 8, I have a discerning eye for detail and a passion for my work. I am inventive and resourceful, having the ability to engineer as well as implement designs. Whether it's paper art, jewelry making, cross stitch, crochet, cake decorating, bookmaking, or graphic design-- or anything else I lay my two hands on-- I believe good work is all about the little touches.
